Books Available for Review

Book reviews can take one of two forms: standard reviews or review essays. Standard book reviews are 1800-2000 words in length, including notes and references. Review essays must articulate and defend a sustained interpretation or criticism of the book, and are between 6000-8000 words, including notes and references. Requests for review essays should be accompanied with a short proposal, outlining the import of the book, its relevance to Philosophical Psychology's subject matter, and the particular perspective that the author can contribute to the review essay. Due to space restrictions, acceptance of review essay proposals is highly selective. All reviews should be written and submitted within 4-6 months of book receipt.

If you would like to review a book on this list, or would like to review a book not on this list, please contact Daniel Burnston, Book Review Editor (dburnsto@ucsd.edu), with your request. Please include both a short CV and contact information (including physical mailing address) with your request.
